National Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up in May and WOW! Our teachers are amazing! We’ve had some fantastic teachers over the years who truly love what they do and we love to celebrate them with fun and meaningful gifts.
One of the things I did for our school’s PTA a few years ago was put together a “favorites binder” with each teacher’s favorite things. I adapted this fun printable I found on Pinterest years ago and each teacher and staff member completed it for our binder. This makes it so easy when buying gifts…I love giving gifts, but especially gifts I know they’ll love.

A fun “assembly line” gift as I like to call it (you know, when you’ve got about 18 teachers between all of your kids’ classroom, art, music, library, PE and all of those other wonderful resource teachers) is a little bag of sunshine. So easy to grab a cute yellow bag and add all kinds of yellow treats – a bottle of lemonade with a yellow straw, some small bags of chips and vanilla wafers, peanut M&M’s, post-it notes, highlighters, pencils, a bunch of yellow tulips…just anything fun and yellow. It’s cute and practical and will add a bit of sunshine to their day!
This is also a really fun idea to brighten a friend’s day!
Another fun gift idea is a movie night – either movie theater gift cards or free Red Box codes stuffed into a popcorn bucket with some popcorn and their favorite boxed candy.
And if you’re looking for a special and unique class gift for a beloved teacher, there are all kinds of options. Last year for my daughter’s kindergarten teacher, each student decorated a heart and we attached them to a black canvas (pre-painted and inexpensive). This is a fun little piece of art with lots of special meaning for her classroom wall.
Last but not least, Sweet Bella school themed cookies always make the best treats! But be sure and order these early because Sweet Bella gets booked up fast!
Have fun celebrating our wonderful teachers this week!
