It’s easy to see why Hallsley, located on RVA’s Southside, was named 2017 Community of the Year. Resort style amenities, beautiful architecture, great schools and minutes away from some of RVA’s fabulous dining and shopping. We loved getting to peek inside one of their incredible homes. I especially love a house with unexpected surprises and this one did not disappoint. It was big and spacious, but with quaint little spaces that gave it an extra special touch. Plus details, details, details! It’s all in the details!
This house is not only beautiful with plenty of unexpected features throughout, but it’s functional and comfortable for a family. It’s full of amazing little details. I absolutely love these ceilings and the beautiful trimwork throughout the house. It’s such a great house for entertaining and I loved exploring all of its hidden nooks and crannies! There was a surprise around every corner.
This cute little sitting room is just off the entryway foyer. I love these turquoise accents.
The bookcases are a secret hidden entry to a full-sized office – complete with a wet bar and quiet office space.
I mean, who doesn’t want a secret hideaway?
And, who wouldn’t mind cooking in this beautiful gourmet kitchen?! The custom kitchen cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and I’m in love with these light fixtures. It’s bright and spacious with an easy flow into the living space.
The pantry is its own separate hideaway! Amazing!
And what about the laundry room? Seriously, this is a place I might even enjoy doing laundry. Well…maybe.
The laundry suite even has an adjacent spa for your pet! How cool is that?! I’m telling you…they thought of everything!
The landing at the top of the stairs is spacious and brightly decorated with light pouring in through that oval window. A good book and cup of coffee would be perfect here. I love when a house has fun little nooks and crannies like this.
And another surprise – an upstairs laundry room complete with small refrigerator. Yes please!
One of my favorite finds was behind the two upstairs bedrooms where kids will find their own rock climbing wall! Are you kidding me?! My kids would die to have this!
The rock wall is accessible from two bedrooms, each with its own secret entryway.
And speaking of bedrooms, this beautiful bedroom and bathroom are both spacious, open, and airy and filled with blue…my favorite color in decorating. Light floods in from windows surrounding the space and the door opens out onto the second story porch.
The downstairs laundry suite was pretty incredible (remember the pet spa), and that additional laundry room upstairs is a real bonus…but check out this master closet. It has its own laundry center! Genius!
The outside had some fun nooks and crannies of its own. The hanging swing is large and comfortable enough to sleep in with the ceiling fans overhead.
I loved getting a peek into this amazing home filled with so many fun spots to hide away…literally! Hallsley is full of beautiful homes like this and jam packed with kids and young families. It’s easy to see why it was nationally awarded Best Community in America.
